The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, demons, and dark forces increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
